LaGuardia lost to the Queensborough Tigers 61-55 on Thursday.
The game saw both teams struggling offensively in the first half. While both teams played strong defense, it was mostly the missing of open shots that led to such a low scoring first half. When the buzzer sounded, the Red Hawks found themselves tied with the Tigers at 23.
While both offenses improved in the second half, it wasn't enough for the Red Hawks. Led by
Travon Lawrence's 22 points, the Red Hawks were able to keep pace with the Tigers. Unfortunately, the last few minutes proved to be LaGuardia's undoing, as the Tigers pulled ahead and never looked back.
The Red Hawks look to pick up a victory in their last home game against Suffolk on Tuesday.
