LaGuardia grabbed the first set in a close 27–25 battle, coming from down 24-20 to win five straight points and completing the rally winning two of the next three. 

Hostos responded with energy and focus in the second set, jumping out to an early lead and holding off a late rally to secure a 25–19 win.

LaGuardia then regained momentum to take the third set25–18. In the fourth, LaGuardia stayed composed and closed it out 25–20 to seal the win.

This match showed the Red Hawks' resilience and teamwork, proving they can rise after adversity and finish strong. The team's next match is a road rematch against Hostos on October 4 as part of a tri-match with Bronx.
