The Lady Red Hawks opened the regular season with a 58-38 victory on home court Sunday afternoon. 

The team jumped out to an early 19-11 lead after the first quarter and never trailed the rest of the way. The team got better as the game went on, holding the visiting Bunker Hill Bulldogs to just 12 second-half points, including 5 in the final quarter of play. 

Freshman Aniyah Williams led the team with 20 points in her first game. 

The team will travel to Manhattan for its first Region 15 game of the season when it takes on the BMCC Panthers this Thursday evening.
